Basketball Recap: East Linn Christian Academy Triumphs

East Linn Christian Academy put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They slipped by the Stanfield Tigers 42-41. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers, too.

East Linn Christian Academy pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.5 points per game. As for Stanfield, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. It'll be Battle of the Birds when the East Linn Christian Academy Eagles take on the Elmira Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Stanfield will take on Riverside in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Riverside's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matches.
