Soccer Recap: Cross Keys Takes a Loss

Cross Keys lost against Marist back in March of 2016, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cross Keys Phoenix lost 10-0 to the Marist War Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Phoenix can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 294th, while the War Eagles are ranked 53rd).

Cross Keys is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4. As for Marist, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-2.

Cross Keys has already played their next matchup, a 7-0 defeat against Lakeside on the 10th. Marist will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on North Atlanta at 7:15 p.m. on March 18th.
