Baseball Recap: Floyd Takes a Loss

Floyd lost to Gateway Christian back in March and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Broncos lost 18-3 to the Warriors.

Rey Duarte was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Angel Melendez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base.

Floyd's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Gateway Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Gateway Christian beat Floyd by a score of 25-0 later that day.
