Baseball Recap: Durant Snags Fourth Win in Last Five Games

Durant got themselves on the board against Camanche on Friday, but Camanche never followed suit. They walked away with a 4-0 victory over the Indians. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.

Brayden Skriloff looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched.

At the plate, Owen Collier was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Boston Weimerskirch also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Durant is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Camanche, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Durant will host Alburnett at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Camanche, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Calamus-Wheatland at 5:00 p.m.
