Volleyball Recap: Annalee Livengood and Player #8 Secure Win for West Nodaway

There's no place like home for West Nodaway, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. Everything went their way against the Union Star Trojans on Thursday as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Rockets haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

West Nodaway's got stronger as the match went on, holding Union Star to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-15, 25-10.

Leading West Nodaway to victory were Player #8 and Annalee Livengood. Player #8 had 12 digs, while Livengood had 29 digs, ten aces, and five kills. What's more, Livengood racked up 27 assists, the most she's had since back in September. Player #2 also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: West Nodaway was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 19 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in four consecutive matches.

West Nodaway's victory bumped their record up to 17-7. As for Union Star, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-12-1.

As of now, neither West Nodaway nor the Trojans have any future games scheduled.
