Baseball Recap: Woden Triumphs

Woden won the last time they faced Timpson and things went their way on Thursday too. The Eagles came out on top against the Bears by a score of 7-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Wade Stanaland was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base. He has become a key player for Woden: the team is 9-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-5 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Kennedy Kaesyn, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Woden's record is now 13-7. As for Timpson, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-7 record this season.

Woden will head out on the road to face off against Brookeland at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. The Wildcats' pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Timpson, they will host Chireno at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
