Basketball Recap: Ridgeline Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Ridgeline can now relate to. They took a 52-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Kennewick Lions on Tuesday. The Falcons have struggled against the Lions recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, Ridgeline still got an impressive performance from Madilyn Crowley, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 14 boards. That's the most rebounds Crowley has posted since back in December of 2024. Emma Myers was another key player, putting up 11 points in addition to seven assists and seven boards.

Even though they lost, Ridgeline smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive rebound total in five consecutive games.

Ridgeline's loss dropped their record down to 18-4. As for Kennewick, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-5.

Looking ahead, Ridgeline will challenge University at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ridgeline is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.3 points per game this season. As for Kennewick, they will take on Central Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Central Valley will roll in looking for their 23rd straight victory, something Kennewick surely won't give up without a fight.
