            The Christ Church Episcopal Cavaliers are taking a road trip to  take on the J.L. Mann Patriots  at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday.
On Monday, Christ Church Episcopal didn't have quite enough to beat Walhalla and fell  5-4. The Cavaliers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Robert Howell was a  force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he  didn't allow a single  earned run over 4.1 innings pitched.
 At the plate,  Blake Foral made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  went 2-for-3 with one  home run and two  RBI.  Carter Phillips also deserves some recognition as  he  hit his first  triple of the season.
Meanwhile,  there's no place like home for J.L. Mann, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out Powdersville  5-4.
 Teddy Garner looked comfortable as he  pitched three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit.
 On the hitting side,  Riggs Manning was  excellent,  going 2-for-4 with two  runs, one  double,  and one  RBI. That's the most  runs  he has posted since back in March.
 J.L. Mann pushed their record up to 15-8 with the  victory, which was their third straight  at home. Those  home  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 6.3 runs over those games. As for Christ Church Episcopal, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.
 Christ Church Episcopal might still be hurting after the  14-4 defeat they got from J.L. Mann  in their previous meeting  back in February of 2024. Can the Cavaliers avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
