Basketball Recap: Redeemer Classical Takes a Loss

Redeemer Classical lost against Grace Christian back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Redeemer Classical Griffins fell 59-49 to the Grace Christian Warriors.

Grace Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Toby Schmandt led the charge by dropping a double-double on 18 points and 15 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Schmandt a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Cashion, who went 5 of 7 en route to 13 points and seven assists.

Redeemer Classical's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Grace Christian, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Redeemer Classical didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 71-48 defeat against Ridgeview Christian on the 21st. Grace Christian has also already played their next game, a 34-32 win against Blue Ridge Christian on the 21st.
