Nicholas Rios Turns in Season-Best Performance

On Thursday, Jay got the W thanks in part to Nicholas Rios playing the best football he has all season. Rios rushed for 255 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 13.4 yards per carry, and also caught a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.

The victory for Jay keeps them at an undefeated 8-0. Rios and Jay will venture away from home to take on Southwest at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Jah Mills Crosses Big Stat Threshold

Southwest picked up their eighth consecutive win on Thursday thanks in part to Jah Mills. Mills was excellent, rushing for 160 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (103.2). He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 70-yard run.

Southwest pushed their record up to 8-0 with the victory, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. Mills and Southwest will face off against Jay at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Rogelio Casias Delivers Electric Effort Vs Southside

Rogelio Casias continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his sixth-straight game with at least six total tackles. He picked up two sacks, forced a fumble, and made 11 total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Southwest Legacy's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2. Casias and Southwest Legacy will challenge South San Antonio at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Southwest picked up their eighth consecutive win on Thursday thanks in part to Aazeryuan Voss. Voss turned in nothing short of a gem, picking up 98 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

On the season, Voss has caught 13 touchdowns while averaging 84.1 receiving yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had five receiving touchdowns.
