Baseball Recap: Waltonville Takes a Loss

Waltonville lost against Zeigler-Royalton back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Waltonville fell just short of Zeigler-Royalton by a score of 2-1. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Waltonville's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Zeigler-Royalton, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Waltonville will welcome Hamilton County at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Zeigler-Royalton, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Crab Orchard at 4:30 p.m. Zeigler-Royalton's pitchers better be ready for this one: Crab Orchard has averaged an impressive 11.6 runs per game this season.
