Foothill dropped down to 4-4 on Friday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins. They fell 38-28 to the Pleasant Valley Vikings. If the Cougars were looking for revenge after losing 35-7 to the Vikings when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

When it comes to explaining why Foothill lost, don't look at Turner Knowles. Despite the final result, he rushed for 103 yards and three TDs. Another receiver making a difference was Carson Anderson, who picked up 101 receiving yards and one score.

As for Pleasant Valley, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-3. The final result isn't all that surprising considering their considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 109th, while Foothill is ranked 219th).

It was another big night for Titus Andrus, who rushed for 269 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 16.8 yards per carry. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in August. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Wynkoop, who rushed for 30 yards and one TD.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Foothill will face off against rival Chico at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Pleasant Valley is set to take on their familiar foe Enterprise at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That contest will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Andrus and Koby Johnson.
