Preview: Centennial Knights vs. Kell Longhorns

Centennial has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Kell Longhorns at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Georgia (Centennial is ranked 382nd, while Kell is ranked 407th).

Last Tuesday, Centennial was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 52-47 to Parkview.

Centennial's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Diamond Leslie, who scored 20 points, and Jasmine Perez who scored 21 points. The matchup was Perez's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was A?Mya White, who scored 6 points.

Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Kell, who are still winless after their sixth contest. They fell 37-30 to Wheeler on Saturday.

Centennial bumped their record down to 0-8 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 28.3 points per game. As for Kell, they have fallen quite a ways from their 26-5 record last season and are now at 0-6.

Centennial came up short against Kell in their previous meeting back in February, falling 61-48. Can Centennial avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
