Recap: Clinton Christian Academy Patriots vs. Christian Learning Center Mustangs
The Clinton Christian Academy Patriots waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with three straight wins but they left with four. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Christian Learning Center 43-40. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Clinton Christian Academy has posted since December 5, 2023.
Jared Wisniewski continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 22 points along with four steals and two blocks. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Clinton Christian Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Matthew Hansen, who scored six points along with three steals.
Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Easton Rhodes, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Rhodes is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Lane Milburn, who scored nine points.
Clinton Christian Academy's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-10. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.0 points per game. As for Christian Learning Center, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.
