Baseball Recap: Gary West Side Cougars vs. East Chicago Central Cardinals
Gary West Side had lost 12 straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 1-7 to make it 13. They lost 15-5 to the East Chicago Central Cardinals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-7 last Monday.
As for East Chicago Central, the win got them back to even at 6-6. That's two games straight that they have won by exactly ten runs.
For East Chicago Central's part, Carlos Vasquez and Ivan Rojas made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Vasquez pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
