Baseball Recap: Bonny Eagle Victorious

The Bonny Eagle Scots beat the Sacopee Valley Hawks 8-5 on Monday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Scots.

Caleb Racicot made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2025. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

In other batting news, Bonny Eagle let Logam Sturgis and Mason McGlinn run wild. Sturgis went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI, while McGlinn went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those two hits gave McGlinn a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Garett Secord, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Bonny Eagle's victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Bonny Eagle will face off against Cape Elizabeth at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Sacopee Valley, they will take on Traip at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Hawks' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
