Basketball Recap: University of Detroit Jesuit Picks Up 12th Straight Win at Home

University of Detroit Jesuit won against Catholic Central on Saturday with 65 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. The University of Detroit Jesuit Cubs beat the Central Trail Blazers by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 65-55. Given the Cubs' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked first, while the Trail Blazers are ranked 130th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

University of Detroit Jesuit pushed their record up to 21-1 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Central, their loss dropped their record down to 21-12.

University of Detroit Jesuit has already played their next match, a 65-54 win against De La Salle Collegiate on the 11th. As for Central, they will square off against Renaissance at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Renaissance knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 20 games -- so hopefully Central likes a good challenge.
