Basketball Game Preview: Bunn Wildcats vs. Franklinton Red Rams + How To Watch

Bunn hasn't had much luck against Franklinton recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Wildcats are taking a road trip to square off against the Red Rams at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Bunn will bounce into Friday's contest after beating Beddingfield, who they had gone 0-4 against in their four prior meetings. The Wildcats strolled past the Bruins with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 53-36. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Bunn relied on the efforts of Makayla Richardson, who went 7-for-17 to rack up 22 points and four steals, and Gracyn Williams, who almost dropped a double-double with ten points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabella Wilson, who posted two points and ten boards.

Bunn was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2024.

Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Franklinton over J.F. Webb in every quarter on their way to victory on Monday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Red Rams blew the Warriors out of the water with a 62-29 final score. The Red Rams haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Bunn better keep an eye on Rihanna Hunt. She was instrumental in Franklinton's win, shooting 64% from the field en route to 24 points and five rebounds. Those 24 points gave Hunt a new career-high. Asia Burton was another key player, going 6-for-13 on her way to 14 points and three steals.

Bunn's record now sits at 2-0. As for Franklinton, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Bunn couldn't quite get it done against Franklinton when the teams last played back in January as they fell 43-30. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
