Clinton-Massie took a 49-31 bruising from Legacy Christian Academy. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Clinton-Massie in their matchups with Legacy Christian Academy: they've now lost four in a row.
Legacy Christian Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alayna Allport, who scored 17 points along with five steals. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Ali Solomon, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Clinton-Massie's loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-6. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.0 points per game. As for Legacy Christian Academy, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.
Clinton-Massie will head out on the road to face off against Goshen at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Goshen presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Clinton-Massie in Ohio (Goshen is ranked 168th, while Clinton-Massie is ranked 514th). As for Legacy Christian Academy, they will be playing at home against Dayton Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
