Evergreen had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 7-2 win over the Renton Red Hawks. The Wolverines haven't had any issues with the Red Hawks recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Wilder Amechazurra was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple.

Evergreen was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .478. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Renton only posted a batting average of .200.

Renton is on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
