Basketball Recap: Southland Takes a Loss

Southland lost against Crosbyton back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Southland Eagles had to suffer through a 59-16 loss at the hands of the Crosbyton Chiefs. The match marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Southland has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for Crosbyton, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southland will face off against Petersburg at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Crosbyton, they will square off against Wilson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Crosbyton is facing Wilson at the right time seeing as Wilson is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
