Basketball Recap: Greenview Comes Up Short

Greenview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the DeLand-Weldon Eagles, falling 42-18. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 43-30 back in November of 2024.

Greenview's defeat dropped their record down to 1-19. As for DeLand-Weldon, their win ended a 21-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-14.

Greenview will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Calvary Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. As for DeLand-Weldon, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 49-18 victory against Decatur Christian on the 3rd.
