After losing to Seneca Valley the last time they met, Plum decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Plum Mustangs had just enough and edged out the Seneca Valley Raiders 4-3 on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.
Braden Kemmerer looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits.
On the hitting side, Plum let Jake Dombkowski and Timmy Ruggiero run wild. Dombkowski scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2, while Ruggiero went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI. Those two doubles gave Ruggiero a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Wilson, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Plum's record is now 2-0. As for Seneca Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Plum will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against North Allegheny at 6:00 p.m. on April 2nd. As for Seneca Valley, they will host Riverside at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
