Softball Recap: Travelers Rest Triumphs

Travelers Rest lost to Landrum back in April of 2025, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Devildogs walked away with an 8-4 win over the Cardinals. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Devildogs.

Carly Foster spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on 11 hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Travelers Rest's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Iris Cisson, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Travelers Rest's record is now 6-8. As for Landrum, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Travelers Rest will welcome Pickens at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Devildogs are facing the Blue Flame at the right time seeing as the Blue Flame are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Landrum, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Liberty at 7:30 p.m.
