Volleyball Recap: Ridgway Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Ridgway was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Norwood Mavericks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mavericks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

While Ridgway was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Norwood's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-20, 25-23.

Madison Megahee paced Ridgway's offense, picking up eight kills. Megahee were helped by Mary Patrick and Sasha Kingsford, who contributed four assists each. Kingsford also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Hannah Hawkins, each putting up two.

Ridgway's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Norwood, they moved to 6-14 with that win, which also ended their four-match losing streak.

Ridgway has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Mancos on the 25th. As for Norwood, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-2 victory against Dove Creek on the 28th.
