Volleyball Recap: Ridgway Comes Up Short

Ridgway was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They came up short against the Norwood Mavericks, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mavericks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

While Ridgway was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Norwood's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-20, 25-23.

Ridgway's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Norwood, with the victory, they broke their four-match losing streak and moved their record to 6-14.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Ridgway is set to take on their familiar foe Mancos at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Norwood will square off against rival Dove Creek at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
