Softball Recap: Goddard Comes Up Short

Quiana Gonzales was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run and two RBI.

Goddard's defeat dropped their record down to 15-13. As for Aztec, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-11 record this season.

Goddard and Aztec are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Rockets will challenge St. Pius X at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. Goddard's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Sartans have averaged an impressive 10.8 runs per game this season. As for Aztec, they will take on Silver at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday. The Tigers will need to watch out since the Fighting Colts have now posted at least ten runs in their last five contests.
