Baseball Recap: West Chicago Comes Up Short

West Chicago was the 4-0 winner over West Aurora when they last played one another back in March of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Wildcats lost 11-1 to the Blackhawks on Wednesday. The Wildcats' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

West Chicago saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sam Zalak, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Tommy Doyle also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

West Chicago's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for West Aurora, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 11-1.

Coming up, West Chicago will venture away from home to square off against Fenton at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for West Aurora, they will square off against Bartlett at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
