Softball Recap: Cooper Takes a Loss

Cooper was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Hopkins Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-1 on Tuesday.

Cooper saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Laney Trapp, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Cooper's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for North Hopkins, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2.

Coming up, Cooper will face off against Sulphur Bluff at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Hopkins, they will head out to face off against Celeste at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Blue Devils have now posted at least ten runs in their last nine contests.
