North Wilkes hasn't had much luck against Surry Central recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The North Wilkes Vikings will square off against the Surry Central Golden Eagles at 7:45 p.m.

North Wilkes is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Tuesday. They took a 59-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wilkes Central.

Meanwhile, Surry Central entered their tilt with Forbush on Tuesday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They took their game with ease, bagging a 100-39 victory over the Falcons. The Golden Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 23 points or more this season.

Surry Central's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.3 points per game. As for North Wilkes, their loss dropped their record down to 7-13.

Things could have been worse for North Wilkes, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 64-45 loss to Surry Central in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Can North Wilkes avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
