Softball Game Preview: School Without Walls Penguins vs. Sidwell Friends Quakers

The School Without Walls Penguins will head out to take on the Sidwell Friends Quakers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.

Sidwell Friends will be up against a hot School Without Walls team: the squad just extended their winning streak to four. The Penguins blew past Woodson 15-4 on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Penguins, who have now won four games by nine runs or more so far this season.

Harper Barlow was a standout: she went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and three runs. Ashley Ayala-Rubio also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

School Without Walls was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .727. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Sidwell Friends got the win against Georgetown Day back in March by a conclusive 16-4. The Quakers haven't had any issues with the Mighty Hoppers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

School Without Walls' record is now 4-1. As for Sidwell Friends, their record now sits at 2-0.
