Volleyball Recap: Savannah Arts Academy's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

Savannah Arts Academy can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Mt. Bethel Christian Academy Eagles, sneaking past 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Panthers have posted since September 14, 2024.

Charlotte Browne paced Savannah Arts Academy's offense, picking up seven kills. Browne got some help from Ellie Ayala and her nine assists. Ayala was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Despite the loss, Mt. Bethel Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Bree Benich, who had 16 digs and three aces. Benich is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last eight games she's played. Macey Dorough also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Savannah Arts Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Mt. Bethel Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.

Savannah Arts Academy has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Davidson Fine Arts on the 16th. As for Mt. Bethel Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Lambert on the 16th.
