Baseball Recap: Carroll Takes a Loss

If Carroll was feeling good fresh off their 14-0 takedown of Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Chargers fell just short of the Noblesville Millers by a score of 7-5 on Saturday.

Braden Christlieb was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI. Eli Neuhouser also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Carroll now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Noblesville, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carroll will challenge Columbia City at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Noblesville, they will square off against Greenfield-Central at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Millers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cougars have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season.
