Baseball Recap: Madison County Comes Up Short

Madison County managed to slip by Central Woodstock the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Mountaineers came up short against the Falcons on Tuesday, falling 13-6. Mountaineers fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Falcons since on Tuesday.

Madison County is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5. As for Central Woodstock, they pushed their record up to 5-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Madison County will host East Rockingham at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Mountaineers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Central Woodstock, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Stonewall Jackson at 6:00 p.m.
