Baseball Recap: Cotulla Falls Short of Jourdanton in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Cotulla can now relate to. They fell just short of the Jourdanton Indians/Squaws by a score of 5-4 on Friday. The Cowboys have struggled against the Indians/Squaws recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Cotulla saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Frank Torres, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Cotulla's loss dropped their record down to 6-14-1. As for Jourdanton, they are on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 18 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-4-1 record this season.

Cotulla does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Jourdanton, they will take on Stockdale at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
