Preview: Springfield Cosmos vs. White River Valley Wildcats
The Springfield Cosmos will head out on the road to challenge the White River Valley Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Springfield will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Vermont Rankings (they are ranked 44th, while White River Valley is ranked fourth).
Last Monday, Springfield came up short against Twin Valley and fell 48-35.
Meanwhile, White River Valley came tearing into Saturday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past Leland & Gray 78-31 on the road. That 47 points margin sets a new team best for White River Valley this season.
Springfield's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for White River Valley, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-1.
