Softball Recap: Paulding County's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

Paulding County had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They never let the Osborne Cardinals get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won seven games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Kylee Stancil made a big impact no matter where she played. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, she posted five strikeouts, the most she's had since back in August of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two RBI.

In other batting news, Rylie Butler was a standout: she got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Sammy Jo Doyal was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Paulding County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .438. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matchups.

Paulding County now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Osborne, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Paulding County will welcome South Cobb at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Osborne, they will challenge Therrell at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
