Baseball Recap: Stanwood Spartans vs. Everett Seagulls
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Stanwood). They blew past the Everett Seagulls 9-1 on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Spartans, who have now won four contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
Cullen Maloney looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Skyler McLain was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Corban Forslund, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.
