Basketball Recap: Laurence Manning Academy Falls Short of Northside Christian Academy in the Playoffs

Laurence Manning Academy and Northside Christian Academy squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Laurence Manning Academy had to settle for second. They received a blow as they fell 68-54 to the Northside Christian Academy Crusaders. The Swampcats' loss continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row.

Northside Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cade McNeill, who went 8-for-13 on his way to 21 points in addition to eight rebounds and five steals. That's the most boards McNeill has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Dalton Gadson, who went 6-for-12 to rack up 17 points.

Laurence Manning Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 13-15. As for Northside Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 16-8.
