Softball Recap: Fairmont Cardinals vs. Randolph Rockets

Fairmont proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by eight) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 victory over the Randolph Rockets.

Brylee Miller was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Gwyn Schultz, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2025. Bria Williamson was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one stolen base.

Fairmont's record is now 16-5. As for Randolph, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-4.

As of now, neither Fairmont nor the Rockets have any future games scheduled.
