Football Recap: Jordan Ibn Anderson-El Key Part of Team Effort in Wolves Win + How To Watch

Weiss won the last time they faced San Marcos and things went their way on Thursday too. The Wolves came out on top against the Rattlers by a score of 25-15. Given the Wolves' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 72nd, while the Rattlers are ranked 509th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Weiss to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jordan Ibn Anderson-El, who picked up 141 receiving yards and two scores. Another receiver making a difference was Tre Moore, who picked up 99 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Weiss didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Cevyn Womack, William Traylor, and Jorian Guinn Jr picked up one apiece. Weiss got some further help from Noah Mcpeak: he forced one fumble and made ten total tackles (1.0 for loss).

Weiss has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 40.5 points this season. As for San Marcos, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Weiss will head out to face off against A&M Consolidated at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Wolves' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for San Marcos, they are taking a road trip to square off against Wagner at 7:30 p.m. on the 12th.
