Football Game Preview: Calvert Trojans vs. St. Joseph Catholic Eagles

The Calvert Trojans will head out to challenge the St. Joseph Catholic Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Calvert will be strutting in after a victory while St. Joseph Catholic will be coming in after a loss.

On Friday, Calvert didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Highlands, but they still walked away with a 68-64 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Trojans.

Meanwhile, St. Joseph Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were beaten by Allen Academy 57-6. Eagles fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Rams since Friday.

St. Joseph Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Calvert, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Calvert couldn't quite get it done against St. Joseph Catholic in their previous meeting back in October of 2021 as they fell 51-43. Can the Trojans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
