Football Recap: Compton Skates Past Whitney with Ease

Compton put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They took their game with ease, bagging a 45-0 victory over the Whitney Wildcats. The Tarbabes' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

The critical scores for Compton came from Paityne Chandler and Christal Clay.

Compton's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB four times. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Destin'Ee Kelley. She also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with six.

Compton's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Whitney, they are on a 20-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Compton will head out to take on Compton Early College at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tarbabes will be up against the Rising Phoenix's rather soft defense (which has allowed 32.8 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Whitney, they will square off against Western at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wildcats will be up against the Pioneers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 28 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
