Greene Central gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They took their contest with ease, bagging an 84-48 victory over the North Lenoir Hawks. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Hawks recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Greene Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Deitrich Williams, who shot 50% from the field en route to 15 points and four steals. Nick Avent was another key player, going 6-for-8 on his way to 14 points.

North Lenoir's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Greene Central will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Hawks: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
