It was a proper cat-fight when Payne Tech duked it out with Tech on Monday. The Lions put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 16-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won five games by six runs or more so far this season.

Payne Tech pushed their record up to 5-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Tech, they moved to 4-2 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
