The Kelseyville Knights will square off against the Fort Bragg Timberwolves at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Kelseyville 3, Fort Bragg 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Kelseyville took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They put the hurt on Cloverdale with a sharp 11-4 win. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Jake David Smart and Tyler Bryant made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Smart tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Bryant pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. At the plate, Smart went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two RBI, while Bryant went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.
In other batting news, Max Hommer was excellent, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March.
Meanwhile, Fort Bragg lost a heartbreaker to St. Helena when they met back in May of 2024, and they left with a heavy heart again on Friday. The Timberwolves fell just short of the Saints by a score of 4-3. The Timberwolves' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.
Giancarlo Diaz made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one home run. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Hendricks, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one double.
Kelseyville is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Fort Bragg, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-4.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Kelseyville has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.4 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Fort Bragg struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
