Volleyball Recap: Barrington Wins High-Profile Match Against Lincoln

Barrington faced Lincoln in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Eagles came out on top against the Lions by a score of 3-1. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won four in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 26-28, 25-18, 25-17.

Barrington's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Anna Muehlbauer, who had five aces and three digs. Those five aces gave Muehlbauer a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Melissa Freshman, who had five digs and two aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Barrington was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least ten aces in seven consecutive contests.

Barrington's record is now 8-3. As for Lincoln, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.

Barrington has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Burrillville on the 6th. As for Lincoln, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 win against West Warwick on the 6th.
