Football Game Preview: Voorheesville Blackbirds vs. Hudson Falls Tigers

The Voorheesville Blackbirds will venture away from home to challenge the Hudson Falls Tigers at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Voorheesville comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Voorheesville is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Cambridge/Salem on Saturday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Blackbirds were dealt a 50-7 defeat at the hands of Cambridge/Salem. While losing is never fun, the Blackbirds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 440th, while Cambridge/Salem are ranked 123rd).

Meanwhile, Hudson Falls lost 38-14 to Warrensburg/Lake George/Bolton on Friday. While the Tigers had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Wolverines 6-0.

Voorheesville's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Hudson Falls, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
