Football Recap: Wesley Chapel Has No Trouble Against Fivay

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wesley Chapel). Their defense stepped up to hand the Fivay Falcons a 13-0 shutout on Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Louna Al Kara was the offensive standout of the matchup as she rushed for 22 yards and one TD, and also threw for 55 yards and one touchdown.

Wesley Chapel didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Briley Dusek led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by herself.

Wesley Chapel's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Fivay, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wesley Chapel will face off against Zephyrhills at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Fivay, they will take on River Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
