Soccer Recap: South San Antonio Comes Up Short

South San Antonio was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Southwest Dragons. The match was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but the Bobcats couldn't quite close it out.

South San Antonio's loss dropped their record down to 4-8-1. As for Southwest, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

South San Antonio will venture away from home to square off against Jay at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Jay will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something South San Antonio surely won't give up without a fight. Southwest has already played their next game (against MacArthur), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
